Nitrile Gasket, as known Buna N Gasket, NBR sealing Gasket & Nitrile Oil Seal, is a kind of synthetic rubber produced by copolymerization of butadiene and acrylonitrile. NBR O-ring has excellent oil resistance , heat resistance, abrasion Resistance and adhesive strength, which is made by compression mold tool , injection mold, extrusion mold & die cut tooling .
Nitrile rubber gasket can be usd as elastomer of oil resistance rubber, which is widely used for aviation, chemical industries, Automotive, oil exploitation, cable & waire, printing, food packaging and textile and other fields.
Nitrile Gasket Properties
Nitrile rubber Gasket has excellet oil resistance. Butadiene monomer can be copolymerized into cis, trans and 1,2-burning three different chain structures. As the NBR molecular chain structure contains cyano, which oil-resistance (like mineral oil, liquid fuel, animal and vegetable oils and solvents) is superior than natural rubber , neoprene(CR) and Butadience styrene rubber (SBR).
NBR shaft oil seal has a wider range of working temperature, long-term working temperature can be 120°C. NBR rubber seal also has a good low temperature resistance, the minimum glass temperature can up to-55C.
Nitrile rubber seal has good chemical stability and processability. With the increase of the relative density of acrylonitrile in the structure of nitrile rubber, the vulcanization speed is accelerated and the tensile strength performance is improved, but the resilience performance is decreased and the cold resistance is deteriorated.
Buna N gasket has excellent physical machinery and processability. But long-term use in acidic gasoline and high temperature (150°C) environment, nitrile rubber properties is not as good as fluorine rubber (FKM) and acrylic latex.
Nitrile Gasket compare with other Rubber
Compare to Natural Rubber Gasket with excellent water resistance, nitrile rubber gasket has good resistance to heat, oil , fuel , but the physical and mechanical properties (Tensile strength, elongation, rebound resistance, tear resistance) of nitrile rubber gasket are superior slightly.
Compare to EPDM Gasket, which has great resistance to weather, oxygen, ozone. NBR oil seal has excellent abrasion resistance , good tensile and tear resistance.
Compare to Neoprene Gasket with excellet elastic, air impermeability and resistance to alcohol and alkalin, Nitrile rubber seal also has poor resistance to oxgen, ozone,weather and heat. However , the abrasion of NBR sealing gasket is better than CR rubber gasket.
Compare to Silicone Rubber Gasket, which has great elongation and evironment resistance( such as heat, low-temperature, oxygen,ozone, weather and flame), NBR washer has good resistance to oil (like oil , fuel, animal and vetable oil) and checmical liquid (like alkaline,acid and aliphatia solvent).
